Camera Issues
Well, my Canon suffered the dreaded E18 error. Being out of warranty and purchased in France (so I doubt I have the proper documentation) I took the time and took it all apart. Amazingly I got it working again, but now the back panel does not function, so until I figure out how to fix that, all photos are taken with the flash. Well, at least it takes photos now.

I'm not sure how I've gotten so lucky, but after 3 drops and significant damage to the case of my Canon A80, I've had zero errors. My only problem now is that the last drop put a piece of dust on the sensor, so I have to clone out a dark spot in any images featuring the sky at any aperture past f/4
Good to hear you got your camera working again, most of the way at least.

It is having the same trouble focusing that it had during the time it had the e18 error, it can focus, but only when zoomed in 1/2 way or more.
Oh well, I've been planning on shooting more film anyways.

Or, you could use this an excuse to go to a DSLR :)
I resisted as long as I could, but now that I have one, I'm more than pleased. It's a wonderful tool and learning the ins and outs of RAW has been very neat.
